David was originally cast in the classic Star Wars as Obi Wan Kenobi, but was replaced in the last minute due to a mystery virus which was later to be found out to be the German Measles. The doctors who missed the orignal diagnosis are currently suspened from practising, the case is known as Hoff gate as it was believed he was purposely mis-diagnosed by Trekkies come Stargate fans.
